Last year, we spent Thanksgiving in CA at Sharon's aunt's house, with her family and Sharon's Mom. Good food, getting fat!
We departed there, and headed for Texas to shop for homes! Yep, we have put our house up for sale, and are considering TX as a new stopping place, although that decision is not final.
Boy, there is a lot of value in houses in TX! Houses we looked at there would be at least $100K more here, and probably $200K more in CA. Anyway, we are still looking.
We would like to have a place with enough land, and no HOA, so we can park the coach near the house and keep an eye on it. It was broken into when in a storage facility here in town, so we moved it to a friends place, but that is 4 hours away. We need to resolve that!
Lets see, we also spent most of the summer in OR at our motor coach lot up there. It was sort of a not-so-sunny but foggy early summer, improved a bit later.
We planted some escalonia along the patio to provide some wind protection and also a visual barrier for the neighboring lot connections. We are looking forward to getting up there this spring and seeing how they have grown.
We also went to a beautiful 50th wedding anniversary of dear friends Chuck and Mary Ann in Albuquerque (they are from TX), at the same time as the balloon fiesta. Good times! We stayed in a European style B+B and it was delightful!
